hi, my name is Kourtnie Chapman.  I'm new to the blogging experience and I'm really excited!

I was born August 24th, 1997;  I'm so young, but I find myself wishing that I was older and out of here. I am from Shamokin, Pennsylvania. You would not know where that is or even how to pronounce it, so don't try. I live with both of my parents, Nicole and Dennis Zuech.  I also have a little brother, Kolbie Zuech; we are five years apart from each other. I went to Shamokin Area High School and it was probably the best four years of my life. I played two sports while I was there: volleyball and softball.  Through these two games, I met some amazing people that became my best friends that I still talk to constantly.

I am 19 years old.  My favorite color is green and black. I'm originally a ginger, but I dyed my hair in 10th grade to dark brown, which eventually over time turned into black. It works for me though, I love it! I've been to California twice to go see my cousin and I have to say it is one of the prettiest places I have ever been to.  It's really expensive but it is gorgeous there. My favorite hobby is sleeping; I love sleeping more than anything. I love it even more when I have food in bed with me, that makes it so much better.  I also love music. My favorite artist is Stevie Nicks. She is an amazing woman and I am so happy I actually got the privilege to go see her in concert. It was the greatest moment of my life, hands down.

I currently attend Bloomsburg University with a major in Social Work. I am a sophomore. I have two more years to go and I can't wait to be done. My goal after school is to get a job in Philadelphia to start, but my dream is to live in New York City and change people's lives for the better.

       Hello everyone my name is Cornell Williams jr, and no I was not named after the school. I'm from Upper Darby, PA. I am a Freshman here at Bloomsburg University and I also am a exercise science major. I chose the exercise science track because I hope to go into the profession of physical therapy. Working with people and forming relationships is something that I love to do. I cant see myself cooped up in an office. Also being in physical therapy for about two years for tearing both of my ACLs. Being there so much made me become more curious about the profession.
       I went Upper Darby High school I honestly loved it there. I played Football there all four years and I enjoyed every second of it. I also partook in indoor and outdoor track, I threw shot put and discuss. i wasnt just involved in sports I help start up a focus group that helped deal with racial issues in our school . Out of around 2,000 guys I was voted homecoming king, so that was a pretty cool experience. Well that is just a little about me.

     Hello, my name is Ambriorix Rijo but, everyone calls me Amby. I am a freshmen and a computer    science major. I am from West Lawn, PA and I graduated from Wilson High School. My goal in life is to be successful, to grow and become a better version of myself.

 Currently, I am in the National Guard. For two summers I went to Fort Benning, Georgia to train as an infantryman. It was hell and I hated it so bad. From waking up at 3 in the morning to marching for 15 miles with 70+ lbs of gear on you it was hell. I hated it so much, but I also loved it. It changed me so much and made me a better version of myself. My drill sergeants taught me so much, they taught me discipline which I needed. The reason I joined the National Guard was because of the educational benefits. Free college ?  Sign me up!


 I would like to transfer to Temple university next year with my close friend. The reason I am transferring is because of Temple's great Computer science program. I hope my last semester here is a blast ! looking forward to the book club as well !

A Little Bit About Me

Hi, my name is Hannah Sheppard. I'm from Williamsport, PA and lived there my whole life. I went to Loyalsock High School, a fairly small school and spent five out of the seven hours of the school day in the art room, tucked away in the back of the school. Ever since I could remember, painting and sculpting and anything having to do with art, has been my passion, even art history. My all time favorite artist is Jean-Michel Basquiat. I love the craziness and chaos in his paintings.

 I travel a lot and love to visit brand new places. My favorite place so far has been Nassau, Bahamas. Hiking and boating and anything having to do with exploring or being outdoors is right up my alley. In my future I hope to be able to travel a lot and experience different cultures and ways of living.

 Other than the major points, cooking and baking has been a hobby of mine for a while (as long as I don't burn it). I love reading, especially the classics and I love movies. I'm not a high-maintenance person and try to just live with a positive attitude and live simply and happily. 

     Hi my name is Matt Palubinsky and I am a freshman here at Bloomsburg University. I am an undeclared major looking to find what I want to do with my life after college. While earning my degree I am also a member of the Husky football team. I chose to come to this school mostly because of the football program and also the reason that my cousin attends the same school.
      My main goal is to find a major and get to the point in which I have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Being able to complete my goals will make me incredibly intent and happy with my college experience. Being positive is who I am and I cant wait to start this semester off on a good note.

My name is Brandon Watt.  I was born in Arizona and moved to Pennsylvania in 2012. Throughout high school i enjoyed competing in track and field, soccer, and wrestling. I also enjoyed hunting and spending time in the outdoors. I am currently a social work major hoping to move out west upon completion of college.

In my free time, i enjoy reading novels along with long walks on the beach. Knitting is also something i find myself doing to pass the time. When it comes to food consumption, i follow a strict diet of peanut butter and jelly partnered with chocolate milk. However, i have found that the half gallon jugs of chocolate milk that sheetz sells is way over priced at $2.89. You can find the same product for $2.05 at the surplus store on route 11.

About me

Hi, my name is Erin Pitkow. I am from Hatfield Pennsylvania which is in Montgomery county.  It is located about two hours from Bloomsburg, right outside of Philadelphia.  I attended North Penn High School, a fairly large school with over 3,000 students.  I have one older brother, who is 22.  I do not have any pets at the moment.  Right now, I am undecided, but I would like to go into Medical Imaging.  A few of my hobbies include cooking, tennis, and traveling. My favorite food to cook is pasta.  My family enjoys going on cruises for summer vacations.  My favorite destinations that we have been to are Bermuda and St. Thomas.  I would love to travel through Europe in the future. Ireland is at the top of my list.  I am looking forward to this semester!

                                                                                                                       

Stairs

     I once attempted to emulate sleepwalking by closing my eyes and holding my arms out as I walked. I would not advise this, as I fell down a flight of stairs and broke one of my arms. I have not always been lucky around stairs, from my bold idea to try sledding down them, to my tumble to the concrete floor of the local YMCA. One misstep onto my own coat caused a fractured arm and my own disappointment.

     I have always been clumsy, but thankfully I have a much better sense of balance and depth perception than I did as a child. I cannot believe my mother would have ever let me handle small animals unless I learned to handle my own body first. Despite this, I have come to obtain three of them. Oops.

     I should start at the beginning, though. My name is Aliyah and I have lived near here my entire life. I was born in 1997 and I graduated high school last year to come here. At Bloomsburg University, I decided to major in the arts. Digital art, to be more specific. Yes, I am sure. No, I do not know what I will end up doing for the rest of my life.

An obviously busy person

     Despite my obvious disregard for my future, I like to think I am doing pretty good here. I managed to survive my first semester without failing my chemistry class. It was a miracle, really. I hate most, if not all, things math related.

     I do, however, like writing. I would be better with creative writing, but I am hoping I can learn a lot from this course. I used to write abstract poetry, but I got busier and busier and have not written any in a long time.

     I hated middle school and high school. Whoever invented middle school is probably the devil, because nothing good comes out of it. At least I can understand the reason for high school, but it still was not that great.

   The biggest difference I have noticed about college compared to any school I have attended before would be the fact that the professors actually treat you like you are an adult. It is pretty amazing how different it felt.

    When I was a kid, I wanted to be a veterinarian. Mostly because I did not know how much I hated the idea of opening up a living thing to touch all the squishy insides. Even when I realized I wasn't interested, I kept my love for animals. My home currently hosts two dogs, two cats, a bird, three guinea pigs, and two fish. I love each and every one of them.

     There is a lot I am afraid of. Mostly heights, or things with either to little or too many legs. Especially too many legs. In my opinion, millipedes have no business existing in the same world as me. I am also afraid of our bird, surprisingly, but I am working on it. I was bitten by him twice before and have not felt entirely comfortable around him ever since. It is pretty understandable.

about Bruce

Hello everyone I'm Bruce Graeber. A couple things that I think everyone will find out about me quite quickly is that I am a starter for our wrestling team, I love food and enjoy being social. Even-though I'm pretty good wrestler I still enjoy playing others sports like the occasional pick up football or basketball game. I enjoy being social because in high school I was the big guy in the hall way that everyone said hi to and I appreciate the day to day small talk with other people.

I love food. My favorite meal is sushi , because it is very versatile and can acquire many different tastes. The best sushi place in my hometown is Mount Fuji and I spend a lot of money there. I have also completed several eating challenges like a eating 5 lb burrito , 3 lb cheeseburger and a 2 foot hot dog.Thanks for reading and cant wait to get to know you all.

I one of the reasons I choose Bloomsburg because of the impressive nursing program. Unlike many others schools nursing programs Bloomsburg has 100% pass rate on the NCLEX (nursing boards). Another reason why I fell in love with Bloomsburg is because of the beautiful campus. I knew the was the school for me as soon as I stepped foot on campus. Everyone on campus seemed really friendly and happy and that also made a big difference.

One of my most favorite vacation places that I have been is Mexico. I have only been to Mexico once but I look forward to going back soon. Last time I was in Mexico, I swam with dolphins and went zip lining through the Mexican jungle. Not to mention the beaches were amazing, just feet off of the shore you could see tropical fish and plants. I even saw a tiny octopus.
