Uncovering The Truth

When you think on reality television you may think of low quality shows that are usually categorized as trashy such as Jersey Shore, The Bachelor, and Teen Mom. They are all on just on air to entertain us, but I guarantee you that Undercover Boss is not one of those shows at all. Undercover Boss brings to the table a variety of things not just for entertainment purposes, but it offers information to learn about different businesses. The audience also gets to see both sides of the company the executive side and the blue collar side. The show melts your heart because of its genuine conversations and life changing gifts the boss gives. It also shows how some of the most lucrative businesses are ran step by step. Its a show you can actually get something out of and learn from. Undercover Boss is not like any other reality television it uses real time emotion and feedback from employees show how they genuinely feel about the company. It gives us entertainment like no other reality can.
You should watch this show because ,Undercover boss has a very basic concept and plot but it exposes the underlying problems within the company. While also getting to both sides of the spectrum. A breakdown of the show is pretty simple, The CEO of a larger more established company for example Philadelphia pretzel factory, Models Sporting Good, Hooters, and more has participated.
The CEO of the company disguises himself as a common man and tries to do the job of a non-executive employee and does the job of every day worker. While doing the job they get feedback about the company and also learn about the back stories of some of their employees . Toward the end of the episode the boss reveals himself as the Boss and sits down and discusses what happened and what was said during the time they worked together. For example
in one episode the CEO of Nascar decided that the company was not producing at the level it should have been so he went undercover as a common guy who just got hired. When he started working he realized that the dirty work they did was strenuous and back breaking. After doing some back breaking work he realized that some of his polices that were implemented were not working so well. So he got feedback from the people he worked with and changed some of the programs completely. As you can see you get both sides the bosses and the employee. The show makes you see different opinions and experiences.
Another reason to watch is you never know what will happen or be said at the sit down, which adds a suspense factor to the show. In some cases the boss of the company would either reward great employees with a raise, trip or even money to help them out. But the fun part about this show is that sometimes you get to see the opposite end, how bad employees turn out. In some cases the CEO works with a terrible employee and ends up firing them at the end, Which leaves not only the person who git fired in shock but the viewer too. After they record the episode the producers interviews the employee that the boss was working to reflect with and get how they felt in that moment. In some cases it adds a little more drama or behind the scenes look on what really happened almost like a frankenbite .
